Signalling Design Checking Course

Course Description

To equip Signal Design Engineers to carry out effective checking of signalling designs. Upon successful completion of the course delegates will have knowledge of the correct procedures and standards to follow when checking signalling designs. Delegates will also be able to identify and record errors and mistakes in signalling designs and record these appropriately in accordance with standards and procedures. This knowledge and skill will augment delegates' existing signalling design skills. Mentoring Arrangements: Mentoring of delegates who have successfully completed the course will be in accordance with existing mentoring requirements of the Signalling Design Group, which will take account of the individual's existing skills and experience and IRSE licence holding. SDG Line Managers are responsible for determining the competency levels and mentoring requriements of their staff.

Audience

Signalling Designers whose responsibilities include the checking of the signalling designs. Pre-requisites: Be able to produce signalling designs. Hold or be working towards holding an IRSE signalling design licence.
